MDF panels (Middle Density Fiber Board) - Medium Density Fiberboard. Established relatively recently, but have already gained popularity. MDF panels produced "dry method" of shredded wood fibers treated with binders (resins), followed by hot pressing. Differ homogeneous structure and high strength: in 1,8-2 times higher than the strength of particle boards. MDF hardboard expensive, but much cheaper than natural wood. Use as a binder urea resins, modified melamine, ensures low emissions of formaldehyde.
MDF in the production process can be given special properties: flammable, bio-and water-resistance. For example, bathroom furniture is usually made from this material.
Furniture components made of MDF yield the finest milling and grinding, this is a favorite facade material contemporary designers. Carved cabinet doors, kitchen cabinets, elegant headboard - all MDF.
MDF panels differ in thickness - 18 mm, 5 mm.
1.1 UV-panel based MDF
UV-panel - it is MDF (E1 class), 18 mm thickness, the front side of which is covered with a color glossy decorative and protective layer High Glossy, obtained by successive 5-fold application of special paint coating. Each layer is subjected to hard ultraviolet irradiation after staining occurs grinding surface.
With this technology, making UV-panels have a perfectly flat surface of bright, saturated colors, resistant to mechanical damage and chemical exposure.
High density (700-800 kg/m3), homogeneous inner structure, decorative and protective layer of UV-panels provide:
- durability - UV-panel natural wood is inferior, so they can be used to produce both decorative and fully functional designs;
- ease of machining - cutting, edging;
- Moisture resistant surface;
- durability - UV-panels do not crack, not get dry and does not warp from temperature changes;
- special impregnation to protect from the effects of fungus, mold and pests.
A wide choice of colors and reasonable prices make the furniture from UV-panels attractive to a wide range of consumers.
